Venue and accommodations

Important message:

Some of our workshop participants have received an email from a tour company indicating they would book accommodation at a Library in Oslo. This is not a legitimate email message. Please do not respond or click on any links in these phishing messages.

The venue (Wednesday-Friday)

The workshop will take place in the Bjørvika Deichman Library in Oslo, Norway. The library opened its doors in 2020 and is now the main library in Oslo. It is situated in the newly developed district of the city, Bjørvika, which lies close to the fjord of Oslo. In the same area one finds also the newly opened Munch museum and the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. The central railway station is just a stone’s throw away from the venue.

The workshop will be held in the Deichman Aula, which is situated in the basement of the library.
The aula has a maximum capacity of 150 persons.

Oslo Airport (OSL) has excellent ground transport connections to and from the airport

Saturday Venue

The case study and lab visit will be hosted at NGI’s office at Sandakerveien 140.
The NGI office is a short walk from Nydalen T-bane (subway) station or bus stops Nydalen stasjon or Tamburveien. Tickets for public transport may be purchased through the Ruter app, available in the app store. Also take a look at the Journey planner in Ruter app.
